Rigs of Rods is a free, open-source project maintained by volunteers. Donations help cover the costs of hosting, forum software, and other project costs. Every contribution, no matter the size, helps keep the project running.
All Rigs of Rods assets and donations are managed through Software in the Public Interest, Inc. (SPI, Inc.), a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Because of SPI's nonprofit status, donations are tax-deductible in the United States.
All funds are tracked transparently and reported by SPI's treasurer on the treasurer's website.
